The Cat Throne is available in two shapes.
Because each Cat Throne is specifically crafted to match your toilet's shape, it's important to select the correct option before ordering.
Newer homes often have elongated toilets. They are oval in shape and longer.
Round toilets are more common in older homes or half-baths. Smaller and round in shape.
The Cat Throne is available in Elongated and Round sizes to fit most standard North American toilets. Choosing the correct toilet shape before ordering is important for a secure, proper fit.
Before ordering, take a quick measurement.
Measure from the center of the toilet seat mounting holes to the front edge of the toilet bowl.
If you’re between measurements, look at the overall shape of your bowl. Elongated toilets are noticeably longer and more oval; round toilets are shorter and more circular.
Once your cat has completed training, simply remove the training trays. The Cat Throne seat can stay in place permanently, or, if your cat is young, agile, and comfortable using the toilet seat on its own, you can choose to remove it.
Many cats prefer the extra surface area, and leaving The Cat Throne installed gives them a wide, stable, non-slip platform to use instead of balancing on the narrow toilet seat. It simply lifts up and down as you share your toilet with your cat.
If your cat is young and agile, you may choose to unclip The Cat Throne seat after training. We recommend keeping it, though. As your cat gets older, you can clip it back into place to provide the additional support and stability they may need.
Installation requires no tools, drilling, or gluing, and the Bemis toilet seat itself installs and removes like a standard toilet seat.

If the toilet seat is unused you can return your Cat Throne within 30 days of purchase for a refund. We can provide a shipping label for your convenience, with the return shipping cost deducted from your refund. We cannot accept used toilet seats.

Because training happens gradually, you’ll likely need additional tofu litter along the way. Before introducing The Cat Throne, begin transitioning your cat by mixing a small amount of tofu litter into their current litter and gradually increasing it each day.
We recommend keeping extra tofu litter on hand before you start so you can maintain consistent litter throughout training. The fewer changes your cat has to adjust to at once, the better.
A step stool gives your cat an easier, more natural way to get on and off the toilet without having to make a big jump. It can be especially helpful for kittens, smaller cats, older cats, and cats using a comfort-height toilet.
The Cat Throne Step Stool was designed specifically for this purpose, with a wide, sturdy platform and non-slip feet. There’s no need to remove it after training, either. Many cats appreciate the easier access throughout their lives.
Before introducing The Cat Throne, gradually move your cat’s existing litter box into the bathroom where they’ll be training. Give your cat time to become completely comfortable using the litter box in its new location.
